This course is a great match for me. I’m learning quite a bit about measuring risk and returns of stocks. While I’ve been using these tools in my own investing, I’ve been merely using them without understanding how they are calculated and what they really mean. The presentation of the information is excellent. It’s not too fast and not too slow. The teacher really knows what he is talking about and it shows in his ability to relay that information to the viewer.
Upon completion of the course, I’d like to compare it to another Finance course I took from a different learning platform. This course is such much more applicable to investing. The layout of the course flows perfectly; it doesn’t seem as if anything is missing in the presentation. The teacher, Vash, is absolutely excellent in his enagagement with the student. I’m looking forward to taking a couple of more courses from Fervent.

80% into the course and I feel confident with the intricacies of Bonds and their valuation.
As advertised, Vash does an amazing job of stripping down complex equations and terminology into language that can be understood by lay people. The cadence and style of teaching, novelty of this knowledge and the rush I have felt from learning has spurred me to enroll for two other courses by Fervent as well! I highly recommend this course to anyone wanting to learn about Bond Valuation!

But there is one thing that I did not like, in the verification tests at the end of the lesson, especially in the calculation ones, instead of giving the answer with the elaboration there was a link to the lecture only.
I found this a weakness in the course.

This course is an introduction to portfolio management. Students will learn how to estimate the expected returns and risks of assets based on historical data and forecasts using some classical models, and then assemble a diversified portfolio. The authors of the course outline the basic steps of the portfolio management “pipeline” and give references which facilitate further familiarisation with the subject.
The course does not require any preliminary knowledge in mathematics. As a corollary, presented models are the most simple. In particular, portfolio optimisation problem is not considered at this point. However, the course administrator kindly provided convenient references on this subject by request.
I advise this course to everybody who is interested in a gentle introduction to portfolio management.

Amazing course! The explanations are clear and the content is easy to follow, even if you are a beginner. The quizzes after every lesson help a lot to understand the presented concepts. However, it would be nice to see some real world examples too.
As a side note, the intros throughout the course are a bit too loud compared to the content.

The instructor is very nice and responds to messages with great detail. The course is a bit intimidating at first but if you stick to it you will understand everything at the end!
I like that the knowledge I obtained in this course is not limited only to Finance but can be applied to every scientific research.[ tl;dr]
* Great course for learning about Data Science in general
* Great course to learn about NLP
* Great course to learn about Investment Analysis
* Great course to learn about setting and testing hypothesiss

I was looking for a course exactly like this one. It lived up completely to my expectations. In fact, it exceed my expectations.
The instructor warned that this is a challenging course and I agree completely. But it’s doable if you do the work. You should have the necessary prerequisites. If not, I believe you’ll struggle with the course.
Most courses describing portfolio techniques don’t validate whether the techniques are statistically significant. That means using the techniques without such knowledge could be a waste of time, or more specifically, you’ll lose money.
The instructor presented the materially well and if you do the work, you will learn from this course. It may present some surprises along the way, but that is what should happen with real-world results. This is a refreshingly honest and eye-opening course.

Whenever courses end with “see you in the next video, it leaves a bitter taste in my mouth, as it invariably indicates incompleteness.
The content presented might be mathematically challenging for some, but it is pretty basic from a portfolio management point of view. It ends with the (mathematically sound) conclusion that you minimise the risk of a portfolio by getting rid of risky stocks.
Thus the course ends exactly where portfolio management becomes interesting and useful – by balancing risk and reward. How do you minimise risk at a given reward expectation.
Maybe that was planned for the missing video(s) ?! As is, I am very disappointed, albeit the content up to where it abruptly ends is rather well done.

For someone like me, who is quite new to financial language, it would be better, if all the terms that are used in the statements, especially the occurance of synonyms, splitted, irrelevant or missing entries and how to handle them were explained in more detail – maybe in one or two extra-videos.
The explanations of calculation and usage of the multiples was great!

Hi Team,
I had been following stock markets from past 15 years with various sort of analyses for forecasting(an unsuccessful I must admit). I had been a keen Technical Analyst(Pursuing CMT level 2) after dismissing Fundamental Analysis as something very abstract, complex and unnecessarily dense.
But after looking at this course I found a way to actively add a new dimension to my studies. In the short while I have been able to find out importance of many valuation techniques which help me understand the price movement thanks to this course.
Thank you team for designing this wonderful course.
