What Some of Your Fellow Students Think…
James Cochrane
The instructor warned that this is a challenging course and I agree completely. But it’s doable if you do the work. You should have the necessary prerequisites. If not, I believe you’ll struggle with the course.
Most courses describing portfolio techniques don’t validate whether the techniques are statistically significant. That means using the techniques without such knowledge could be a waste of time, or more specifically, you’ll lose money.
The instructor presented the materially well and if you do the work, you will learn from this course. It may present some surprises along the way, but that is what should happen with real-world results. This is a refreshingly honest and eye-opening course.
Marko Mlakar
The instructor is very nice and responds to messages with great detail. The course is a bit intimidating at first but if you stick to it you will understand everything at the end!
I like that the knowledge I obtained in this course is not limited only to Finance but can be applied to every scientific research.
[ tl;dr]
* Great course for learning about Data Science in general
* Great course to learn about NLP
* Great course to learn about Investment Analysis
* Great course to learn about setting and testing hypothesiss
